A stunning picture of the world captured by a 360-degree camera sent into space

BEIJING: The first 360-degree camera sent into space has captured stunning HD images of Earth with a starry background and sent it back to Earth.

Chinese technology company Insta360 has recently unveiled the most beautiful images of the Earth captured by two cameras installed in satellites orbiting the Earth. A beautiful view of the stars in the background of the Earth can also be seen in the images.

On January 16 this year, Insta 360 sent satellites equipped with 360-degree cameras into space at a height of 579 kilometers above the Earth's atmosphere.

The company sent these cameras into space in partnership with MediaStorm and SAR satellite company SpaceTV.

After 12 months of hard work, the camera company innovated its retail cameras to enable them to withstand the harsh environment of space.

According to the company, Insta360 engineers conducted thousands of tests on the cameras to optimize their performance by creating an environment that mimics the harsh environment of space.

The main reason for scientists to make these technologies able to withstand extreme heat and cold was the temperature these satellites encountered in space between minus 70 and 50 degrees Celsius.

The camera was initially supposed to be launched in 2022, but due to the global pandemic, it was delayed and launched earlier this year.
