There was a need and now this change has come, Shahid Afridi

Former national team captain Shahid Afridi has said that there was a need for a change in the PCB and as the new chairman of the board, Ramiz Raja will have to take decisions on merit.

He understands cricket and is experienced, Pakistan cricket team needs Muhammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, both of them should get a chance in the World Cup, Shaheen Afridi has a bright future but the fast bowler has to be used carefully, he said.

Speaking to the media at a function held at a local hotel, former star all-rounder Shahid Afridi said that Rameez Raja has the best experience of cricket, he has seen the world of cricket, now it will be seen that he will be responsible in PCB. How dariyas perform, they have to bring people on board based on merit, personal matters should not be looked at in such a big position, there was need of change in PCB and now this change has come.

In response to a question, Shahid Afridi said that many young players were given opportunities during the recent period, but unfortunately they could not take advantage of these opportunities and perform well.

Shahid Afridi said that the services and need of seniors cannot be denied, Shoaib Malik has valuable services for Pakistan, I think Pakistan cricket still needs Shoaib Malik, similarly Mohammad Hafeez is also good and experienced. As far as Gurdane goes, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik should be included in the Pakistan squad for a mega event like the World Cup.

When asked about the young fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who performed brilliantly in the West Indies tour, the former captain said that Shaheen Shah Afridi's future in cricket is looking bright, he is a courageous cricketer with excellent skills. But Shaheen Shah Afridi's talent needs to be used with caution.
